The novels of the series: PAPERCUT, YOU LIVE YOU LEARN and WAITING FOR THE END are unique in that they each have an accompanying play lists to listen to as you read. This play list helps to intensify the reading and adds depth to each story and the reading experience as a whole. As you read through each page and chapter you will find a song title and artist and at the beginning of the chapter. Where the song is intended to play you will find a small (star). The play list is available on Shannon’s website and under the play list link in the menu. Songs from the books can also be purchased on iTunes.

YOU LIVE YOU LEARN features both music, lyrics and interactive questions between you, the reader and the characters in the story and retells the events from book one from the prospective of other characters in the series.

WAITING FOR THE END features music and lyrics, mostly original, written for the Breadcrumbs Series. The final instalment of the series catches up with all of the primary characters in the trilogy as they try to make something of their lives since the fateful day when Zahra's life changed.

The use of lyrics and optional play list gives the reader an intensified experience while reading the book. The lyrics help to describe Zahra’s emotional ups and downs as she struggles through the unveiling of her past and the pavement of the paths that will map out her future. The musical content for the other characters in the series also plays an important part in their own journeys as they discover themselves within Zahra’s world.
